This Is Not The End Of Me
Text: Psalms 27:13
“I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
MESSAGE
When David experienced frontal attacks from the spirits of loss, grief, trauma, betrayal, depression, worthlessness, etc, he summed it up saying “I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living” (Psalms 27:13). Put in other words it means, “This Is Not The End Of Me.”
Bible did not leave us without other examples. For instance Paul’s own storm-tossed life illustrates that believers comprehensive triumph in Christ has never meant an absence of struggle or challenges. It has consistently meant God’s certain, ultimate victory operating through and beyond every of struggle encountered along the way.
Romans 8:37, anchors this same truth from a different angle — “more than conquerors through him that loved us.”
On the other hand, Philippians 4:13 provides the practical confidence for daily application: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me,” spoken remarkably by Paul in the specific context of learning contentment amid both abundance, want and lack.
Philippians 4:11–12, further confirmed that triumph in Christ operates across every circumstance, not merely favorable ones.
Practically, living in the reality of continuous triumph through Christ requires the comprehensive backward assessment Joshua modeled — regularly reviewing and acknowledging that not one good thing God has spoken has ultimately failed, even when specific seasons involved genuine hardship, troubles and challenges along the way.
Bible requires understanding, and following Paul’s triumphal procession imagery, that our role is participation in Christ’s victory rather than manufacturing separate victories through independent strength. It requires allowing this triumph to be diffused outward into every place we occupy, consistent with the ambassadorial and bold witness, holding present, partial experience of triumph in appropriate tension with its future, complete consummation.
Described in Revelation 21:4, our genuinely triumphant now, while anticipating a triumph one day entirely free from tears, struggle, or opposition have no place for fear. We conquered, chains broken, wisdom received, prayer prevailing, authority exercised, family strengthened, inheritance possessed, boldness released, and faithful finishing. All of these and more culminates precisely in the person of Jesus Christ, who always, continuously, and eternally causes His people to triumph.
Whatever specific battle brought me to this day, and whatever battle still lies ahead of me beyond it, the same unshakable reality remains true: in Christ, I do not merely survive — I triumph, always, and forever for Christ’s victory is not occasional or partial but continuous, complete, and eternally secured.
God always causes me to triumph in Christ. My victory is not occasional but continuous, not partial but complete, secured eternally through Him.
I am swept into Christ’s own triumphant procession arms, and the fragrance of His victory flows through my life into every place I go, now and forever. Amen.
St. Matthew 10:19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. St. Matthew 10:20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.
Loneliness because you belong to Jesus Christ is the price you pay to build yourself up, and the greatest thing you can build is yourself in Him, with you decreasing and Him increasing in your life that His glory in you may be made manifest.
Truth is, “The mind does not fear the truth first. It fears the life the truth will demand. That is why denial feels calm. It postpones a decision, not a consequence.” No wonder we get the wages of sin, which is death.
Believers should understand that sometimes our prayers are answered but the answer is No!
In other word, “You cannot think your way into becoming the person only your actions can introduce. When the storm beats the tree, many birds fly away—but the one that remains through the thunder is the one that truly calls it home.”
Is sin not attractive to you?
Sin keeps inviting you, “Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you’ll be able to see further, for you are a magnet for success and opportunities.”
Beloved, all that ends in this world. You will soon discovered, albeit too late that all that gilliters are not gold, and that vanity upon vanity, is a life lived without Jesus Christ.
Remember that one day you will wake up and do things for the last time without knowing it’s the last time. The sleep or that going out or coming in, eating, fighting, quarrelling etc will look normal, yet will be the last time! Nothing extra ordinary except that you would have said good night on the earthly side and find yourself woke up on the otherside of the terrestrial. There you have welcome to your eternity in heaven or hell, on the right or left side of Jesus who you obeyed or betrayed, condemned, rejected and ignored when you had the opportunity to accept on earth.
Unfortunately, you cannot and have not the luxury of a repeat journey! Then you will remember the saying that, “Most betrayals begin long before trust is broken. They begin the day curiosity ends. The moment someone believes they no longer need to understand you, they begin speaking to a memory instead of a person.”
Accept and follow Jesus now.
