Wisdom Tool Kit For Daily living (Day 237)

MESSAGE

One of the greatest weapons God has given to every believer is His Word. Throughout history, kingdoms have risen and fallen, philosophies have changed, and cultures have evolved, but the Word of God remains constant. Jesus declared in Matthew 24:35, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” Every victory that the believer experiences is sustained by the authority of God’s Word.

As we continue our journey through this programme, we have learned that Christ spoiled principalities and powers through His finished work on the cross. We have also learned that believers possess authority in His name and are clothed with the whole armour of God. Today, we discover the instrument that enables us to exercise that authority effectively—the living and powerful Word of God.

When God commissioned Joshua to lead Israel after the death of Moses, the responsibility before him was enormous. He was to lead millions of people into a land occupied by fortified cities and powerful nations. Human wisdom alone would never be enough. Rather than giving Joshua military strategies first, God directed him to His Word.

He said, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night…” Notice the progression. The Word must first be in our hearts before it remains on our lips, and what remains on our lips shapes the direction of our lives. God then attached a remarkable promise: “…then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

Biblical success is not measured merely by wealth or position. It is measured by walking in God’s will, fulfilling His purpose, and enjoying His presence while overcoming every obstacle that seeks to hinder His plan. The Psalmist understood the importance of God’s Word. He wrote in Psalm 119:105 (NKJV): “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
A lamp illuminates the next step, while a light reveals the road ahead. God does not always reveal our entire future at once, but His Word gives sufficient light for today’s obedience and tomorrow’s confidence. Many believers become anxious because they seek answers before seeking God’s Word. Yet, whenever His Word shines upon our path, confusion gives way to clarity.
The writer of Hebrews describes the extraordinary nature of Scripture in Hebrews 4:12 (NKJV): “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

The Bible is unlike any other book. It is alive because its Author is alive. It possesses divine power to expose deception, strengthen faith, heal broken hearts, and transform lives. When the Word enters a person’s heart, it accomplishes what human reasoning cannot.

We see the perfect example of this in the life of our Lord Jesus Christ. Immediately after His baptism, He was led into the wilderness where Satan tempted Him. The enemy offered Him shortcuts to power, provision, and recognition. Yet Jesus never argued with Satan or relied on emotion. Each temptation was answered with the same declaration: “It is written.” Matthew 4 records three different temptations, and on each occasion Jesus responded with Scripture. This teaches us that the authority of God’s Word silences the lies of the enemy. Satan has no answer for God’s truth. Darkness cannot overcome light, and deception cannot stand before divine revelation.

Many believers know the Word but do not meditate on it. There is a significant difference between reading Scripture occasionally and allowing it to shape our thinking daily. Meditation is the process of reflecting upon God’s truth until it becomes the governing principle of our lives. As we meditate, faith grows, fear diminishes, and confidence in God increases.

The prophet Isaiah beautifully describes the certainty of God’s promises. Isaiah 55:10–11 (NKJV) says:”For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud… So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
Every word spoken by God carries His authority. It cannot fail because God cannot lie. Circumstances may appear contrary for a season, but God’s promises remain trustworthy.

However, hearing the Word alone is not enough. James reminds us in James 1:22 (NKJV): “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”
Obedience activates revelation. Every truth that God teaches us must find practical expression in our daily lives. When we forgive as His Word commands, love as His Word teaches, and trust as His Word instructs, we experience the reality of His promises.

There are seasons when life’s challenges seem overwhelming. Financial pressures may increase, unexpected illnesses may arise, relationships may become strained, and doors may appear closed. In such moments, emotions often urge us to surrender to fear. But God’s Word calls us to stand.

A remarkable illustration comes from the ministry of Jesus during the storm on the Sea of Galilee. While the disciples panicked, Jesus spoke a simple command: “Peace, be still!” Immediately, the wind ceased and there was a great calm. The same Word that created the universe continues to exercise authority over every situation today.

Believers who consistently build their lives upon God’s Word become spiritually stable. Their confidence does not depend on changing circumstances but on the unchanging character of God. They understand that every promise spoken by God will be fulfilled in His perfect time.
As we continue this journey of “Alone with God,” let us develop a deeper love for Scripture. Let the Word be our daily meditation, our guide in decision-making, our comfort in sorrow, our weapon in spiritual warfare, and our source of hope. Principalities and powers cannot overcome a believer whose heart is firmly established in God’s truth.

Today, make a fresh commitment to treasure God’s Word. Read it prayerfully, believe it wholeheartedly, obey it consistently, and declare it boldly. As you do, you will discover that the same Word which sustained Abraham, strengthened David, encouraged the prophets, empowered the apostles, and guided the early Church is still alive and working mightily today.

PRAYER SESSION

1. Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me Your living and powerful Word as my guide and foundation, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. Lord, create in me a deep hunger and love for Your Word, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. Holy Spirit, help me to understand the Scriptures with spiritual insight, in the name of Jesus Christ.
4. Father, let Your Word renew my mind every day, in the name of Jesus Christ.
5. I reject every deception of the enemy through the light of God’s truth, in the name of Jesus Christ.
6. Lord, establish my faith firmly upon Your unfailing promises, in the name of Jesus Christ.
7. Father, make me a diligent student of Your Word, in the name of Jesus Christ.
8. Let every fear in my heart be replaced with faith through Your Word, in the name of Jesus Christ.
9. Lord, help me to meditate on Your Word day and night, in the name of Jesus Christ.
10. Father, let every promise You have spoken concerning my life come to fulfillment in Your perfect time, in the name of Jesus Christ.
11. Holy Spirit, remind me of Your Word whenever I face temptation, in the name of Jesus Christ.
12. Father, make me a doer of Your Word and not a hearer only, in the name of Jesus Christ.
13. Let Your Word bring healing to every wounded area of my life, in the name of Jesus Christ.
14. Father, give me wisdom to apply Your Word in every decision I make, in the name of Jesus Christ.
15. Let the authority of Your Word silence every voice of fear and doubt, in the name of Jesus Christ.
16. Father, strengthen my family through the power of Your Word, in the name of Jesus Christ.
17. Let Your Word become my daily source of joy and encouragement, in the name of Jesus Christ.
18. Father, help me to boldly declare Your promises in every situation, in the name of Jesus Christ.
19. Let my life become a testimony of the transforming power of Your Word, in the name of Jesus Christ.
20. Father, use me to share Your truth with those who do not know You, in the name of Jesus Christ.
21. Lord, establish me permanently in the authority, wisdom, and victory of Your Word, in the name of Jesus Christ.

St. Matthew 10:19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. St. Matthew 10:20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

Loneliness because you belong to Jesus Christ is the price you pay to build yourself up, and the greatest thing you can build is yourself in Him, with you decreasing and Him increasing in your life that His glory in you may be made manifest.

Truth is, “The mind does not fear the truth first. It fears the life the truth will demand. That is why denial feels calm. It postpones a decision, not a consequence.” No wonder we get the wages of sin, which is death.

Believers should understand that sometimes our prayers are answered but the answer is No!

In other word, “You cannot think your way into becoming the person only your actions can introduce. When the storm beats the tree, many birds fly away—but the one that remains through the thunder is the one that truly calls it home.”

Is sin not attractive to you?

Sin keeps inviting you, “Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you’ll be able to see further, for you are a magnet for success and opportunities.”

Beloved, all that ends in this world. You will soon discovered, albeit too late that all that gilliters are not gold, and that vanity upon vanity, is a life lived without Jesus Christ.

Remember that one day you will wake up and do things for the last time without knowing it’s the last time. The sleep or that going out or coming in, eating, fighting, quarrelling etc will look normal, yet will be the last time! Nothing extra ordinary except that you would have said good night on the earthly side and find yourself woke up on the otherside of the terrestrial. There you have welcome to your eternity in heaven or hell, on the right or left side of Jesus who you obeyed or betrayed, condemned, rejected and ignored when you had the opportunity to accept on earth.

Unfortunately, you cannot and have not the luxury of a repeat journey! Then you will remember the saying that, “Most betrayals begin long before trust is broken. They begin the day curiosity ends. The moment someone believes they no longer need to understand you, they begin speaking to a memory instead of a person.”
