Are you a pack in the lot?

Text: Matthew 10:33

“But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.”

Message

Toshikazu Kawaguchi in “Before the Coffee Gets Cold,” a novel which he wrote in 2015, wrote, and I can not but agree;

“Life is a fleeting dance, a delicate balance of moments that unfold before us, never to return in quite the same way again.”

“Regret is a bitter pill to swallow, a weight that bears down upon the soul with the burden of missed chances and unspoken words.”

So, let us not leave anything for later. Let us seize the moments as they come, with hearts open and arms outstretched to embrace the possibilities that lie before us. For in the end, it is not the things we did that we regret, but the things we left undone, the words left unspoken, the dreams left unfulfilled.”

In other words, don’t leave anything for later.

Later, the coffee gets cold. Later, you lose interest. Later, the day turns into night. Later, people grow up. Later, people grow old. Later, life goes by. Later, you regret not doing something when you had the chance.

Truth is, many of us are ruled by Mr Later and his wife, Mrs When Is Convenient. We forget that later is time and opportunity waster.

We failed, neglected, and refused to do the needful waiting for a convenient time, which time often than not will never come.

We forget that life is lived in space. Yesterday is a spent currency, and today is right in spree! Tomorrow is uncertain!

There may be a change in currency tomorrow. Such that the good you left undone yesterday, you never would again. Also, the yesterday years or yesterday undone good explains where you are now just as your today’s desires, actions and omissions will decide and hand over it to you tomorrow your result and score card for as you lay your bed you will lay on it.

Serve and obey God now before it is too late. Do the work of an evangelist. That’s the work we are created to do. Don’t wait to tell others about Jesus. This you do in Word or in writing. Be a doer of his word

Be a proclaimer. He is a just rewarder of those who diligently seek him.

Remember that a little sleep and a little slumber tend to poverty.

David was not a pack in the lot. He lived an impact full life that made Jonathan said, “You will be greatly missed.”

Who will miss you when you are not there again?

Will you ever be missed?

Think about these things.

Now, what are you saying in your heart?

“Another time”, “come again” or “Sorry Lord, I’m following you right away.”

May God help you to make the decision that you will not eternally regret.

May you and I never put ourselves in the position that will make Jesus deny us before His Father in heaven on the end of our days on earth.

Amen.
