This Life

Text: James 4:14

“For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.”

Message

Two months back, I saw a carton in my room that I last opened about 8 years ago. Until I opened, I’d forgotten the contents. Sadly, I had to thrashed many of its content and kept few as a reminder that certain things happened or existed.

I moved from the room to out there and told myself where my worldly possessions would be in another 50 years. I feared God the more and felt humans are so stupid accumulation than we need at any point in time.

Now, we toil, we strive, we build, and we grow. Yet, in the grand tapestry of time, our lives are but a fleeting thread.

Our existence is a temporary whisper in the winds of eternity.

One day, our hearts will beat their final rhythm. Our minds, once sharp and bright, will dim. Our bodies, once strong and vibrant, will rest. We will say goodbye. “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” (Hebrew 9:27).

Let this reality check awaken you.

Prioritize love, healthy relationships, forgiveness, and connections.

Invest in meaningful work and personal growth.

Nurture relationships and community.

Practice gratitude, humility, and kindness.

Leave a lasting, positive impact.

Cultivate love, kindness, humility, and piety 24/7.

Even the Quran reminds us: _”Every soul shall taste death.” (3:185)_

And the Bible cautions:

_”For what is your life? It is even a vapour that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.” (James 4:14)_

Remember, your legacy is not what you accumulate but what you cultivate.

Leave a legacy that inspires, uplifts, and endures. For when your time on earth concludes, only the memories, impact, and love you shared will truly matter.

Beloved, learn that life is transient. This knowledge is your greatest and new currency.

Knowledge itself is the new currency, and learning is the ultimate wealth.

Your paycheck may fund your lifestyle, but it’s what you learn that will shape your destiny.

What you learn is the foundation upon which you build your life.

Invest in knowledge, and watch your earning potential soar.

Yes, what you learn is better than what you earn.

All these sum the meaning of life.

This life self!
