What Determines Your Strength
Text: Ephesians 6:10-11
6.10: Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
Message
Brethren, you are as strong as you are in the Lord, and in the power of his might (Ephesians 6:10). You are not strong until you put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11) Why? It is because “…we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:13)
What are those armors of God? The armor of God that are able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, make us to stand are according to Ephesians 6:13-17:
- Having your loins girt about with Truth.
- Righteousness as breastplate. Without which the enemy will pierce you heart.
- Your Feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace; being an ardent and unrepentant evangelist of Jesus.
- Shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
- The helmet of salvation, which we give you sound mental state and
- The sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God for piercing asunder the enemy to it’s bone marrow.
Aside the whole armor of God, believers also have other resources which includes:
- Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints (Ephesians 6:18).
- Boldness in utterances as to speak the way you ought to speak (Ephesians 6:19-20)
- Fasting for more accurate divine signal
- Agape Love ( God, self an in Ike manner of self, others.
- Being alone; quiet time with God.
- Patience and lack of worry.
- Discovery to Recovery by knowledge of divine rules and regulations.
- Dying to self and yieldedness.
- Brokenness
- Divine direction.
- Perseverance.
- Acceptance of help and the helping of others.
- Giving.
- Hospitality
- Hardwork and integrity (honesty and faithfulness) in all we do.
- Thanksgiving, praise and worship.
- Accepting personal responsibilities for sins, unrighteousness, trespasses etc
- Resolute preparation and running until finished strong.
- Teaching our children, family and home by examples and other methods of training.
- Not murmuring, not being unteachable, ignorant or suffer from unbelief.
