Rumourmongers; the tell-tailers and nay sayers
Text: Proverb 26:20

Imagine what harm rumourmongers and Gossipers have done in families, churches and society!
Yet, prioritizing the development of a good character over solely focusing on outward beauty leads to a more fulfilling and meaningful life, fostering genuine connections and leaving a legacy of kindness and integrity.
Indeed, beauty is good, but good character is better. But character is to many a scarce commodity. So let’s talk of rumour mongers; the tell-tailers and nay sayers.
They fish in matters and relationship that does not concern them and stirs hornets between friends. They are strife generals and destroyers of peace and relationships.
Rumour mongers are well aware that when we are faced with challenges, it’s easy to get bogged down in the negativity. They catch on it! Beware.
Instead of being an encourager the rumour monger help the uninitiated dwell on the problems instead of focus on finding solutions.
Truth be told, rumour mongers want Relevance and importance. They love themselves and deep down are out to pursue their personal goal.
To love yourself is no crime, only you have to love others as yourself and more importantly and above both, love God.
Your pursuit of personal goal, plan and interest is no crime, otherwise life will be drab but always remember that such pursuit strictly on selfish basis, at the expense of others and in defiance of social justice helps to create a disorganized society in which everybody will eat everybody, and no one person will ever be safe
Rumours can make you dislike innocent people. So don’t judge people from what others are saying about them. Be wise, get to know them for yourself, then form your own opinion.
The one talking to you maybe the one you need to stay away from. Life is full of history. Hence, seek for knowledge, be wise and pray without ceasing.
Rumour mongers are upbeat because sentence is delayed. They set their heart to do evil. But evil they have sown shall they harvest.
Learn from AFCON 2023. Ivory Coast mobilized support for Morocco to beat Zambia so that they can qualify. Showing that some of those clapping for you now and supporting you may not be your real friends, they may just be using your success for their gain.
Morocco went home after helping Ivory Coast to qualify to the final. So don’t let anyone use you for any gain that doesn’t benefit you.
South African goalkeeper stopped four penalties against Cape Verde and we’re so confident. They wanted the match against Nigeria to end in penalties so that they will win. But against Nigeria, he couldn’t stop any penalty, instead the Nigerian keeper stopped two. Don’t be too confident in yourself.
Nigeria scored a second goal that was disallowed because of an earlier foul at the build up. The goal was cancelled and SOUTH AFRICA was awarded a penalty. Such is life, when you think you have lost, God may give you a redemption to turn ashes into beauty.
Senegal didn’t lose any match at group stage. But when they played against Ivory Coast that lost 2 matches, they were eliminated.
All the defenders were on Osimhen, they did all they could to stop him, even four of his goals were disallowed…..but they didn’t take note of Ademola Lookman. Your real enemy may not be who you are thinking.
Kelechi Iheanacho didn’t play the previous 5 matches, he came in late into the 6th game and became the hero. All you need to be a hero could just be one kick and not 100 kicks, but if you have just one opportunity to kick the ball, do it well.
When every step forward feels like a struggle, when the storms rage and the skies seem endlessly gray, hold onto hope. Hold onto the belief that every trial you face is but a stepping stone on the path to your triumph. Never give up or let yourself be controlled by rumour mongers.
Let people talk but make sure the bad things they are saying about you are not true.
Despite what people say, with every resources at your disposal, protect your focus, because if nobody talks about you that means you are nobody.
If you were not at the top, you will not be their topic. Just face where you are going and allow no distractions.
Find meaning and fulfillment beyond achievements, appreciate the journey, be grateful for your blessings, and serve a purpose bigger than yourself or the needless rumours around or about you.
Be reminded that TRUE SUCCESS lies in living a life of integrity and leaving a positive impact on the world.
So, Live with Gratitude and Purpose not rumour.
As much as you can stop people talking evil of you just ensure you don’t give them what to say.
