Entering into the stories of others

Text: Psalms 25:6

“Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.”

Message

Craig Groeschel wrote, and I can not agree less, “God is not calling us to go to church; Hes calling us to be His Church.”

Before you critize and hang me for apostacy, let me add, “God is not calling us to be Christians.” Instead, he is calling us to be,”Christ minded, likes, and image!” We should be the mind, image and likeness of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, in whose image and likeness we were created.

If you want to go far in life, train your heart to accept disappointments even if it comes from those you trusted because every disappointment has a reason and blessings.

Sometimes disappointment is short or brief, yet it is the real quality that’s brought to the table. Many times, the value is immense. It’s not how long but how good, how memorable.

Sometimes, we expect so much from others, yet what we get is not satisfactory just because in the other sides of life, it may not be as green as it looks from afar.

Many times, we have underrated peoples ability to surprise us, and when they do, it’s look like a magic, many times, we keep asking how it happens,…… many can do more than they say.

Life is in two options, make or mar, succeed or fail, try or quit. So in mirroring people, endeavour to enter into their shoe to see if what they have done is not as you would too!

Also, remember, if a man does not have a purpose for doing the right thing, flimsy excuse will be very interesting.

In disappointment, choose joy, not sadness. Not because everything is perfect, but because God is. Let joy be the defiant smile on your face, the hope in your heart, and the spring in your step.

Be joyful, not for what’s happening around you, but for what’s living within you.

Let joy be the light that shines in the darkness, the calm in the storm, and the peace that surpasses all understanding.

Be joyful because you are loved, you are strong, and you are capable of overcoming anything that comes your way.

In cases when or where God has refused to change the goal post, you better die at your duty post. That’s the experiences of the men of faith listed in Hebrew 11. Their list includes Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, and his wife Sara, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, and Rahab. Showing that his list is not all that it is Hebrews 11:32, says, “And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:”

2 Timothy 4:5 says, “But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

2 Timothy 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”

Action Points

1. Have restful confidence in His Word.

2. When you are afraid, trust him as your present help in trouble.

3. Stop predicting and start creating the world you believe and want to see.

4. Trouble, not your heart. Out of weaknesses were made strong. Hebrews 11:34 put it this way, “Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.”

Consider your way!
