The Gold In Life Worst Time

Text: St. Matthew 10:36

“And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.”

Message

Bible Job tells us that good as gold is and sought for by all, it was first a dross which under goes a furnes of fire purification rites before becoming what it is popularly known to be and sought for.

That time that you are in your worst is similar to the dross in fire, turning out as gold.

The question in life is not whether you will get knocked down. You will be by one thing and sadly sometimes all things. It is the times of knocks down that vary from one person to the other. Things in our context include “the animal called man.” Man is brutish, brute….

The question you need to ask yourself is, are you ready to get back up and fight for what you believe in, not withstanding being in life worst moment? Will you get up and stretch the limit of norms that will enable you to rise above the standard of fallen men norm?

Truth is the best thing you learn from the worst time of your life is that you get to see the true colour of everyone and things around you. You will get to know them by their fruit. They will certainly produce after their kind.

Some say experience is the best teacher. Let me hasten to say that it can be a costly teacher. In the least more costly than experience garnered by instructions and examples.

If you agree that an evaluated personal experience is the best big and long-time teacher, then we will realize that when you have people in your life wirst, your experiences of them will help you for the remaining journey ahead of you in life. This is not to ignore the learning that we have through people’s experiences and through shared experiences.

My caveat; Don’t let the mistakes and disappointments of the past control and direct your future. Nothing in life is so hard that you can’t make it easier by the way you take it.

The Psalmist in life wirst prayed. He said:

“Psalms 55:1 Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.

Psalms 55:2 Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;

Psalms 55:3 Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.

Psalms 55:4 My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.

Psalms 55:5 Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.

Psalms 55:6 And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away and be at rest.

Psalms 55:7 Lo, then would I wander far off and remain in the wilderness. Selah.

Psalms 55:8 I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.

Psalms 55:9 Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.

Psalms 55:10 Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it.

Psalms 55:11 Wickedness is in the midst thereof: deceit and guile depart not from her streets.

Psalms 55:12 For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:

Psalms 55:13 But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.

Psalms 55:14 We took sweet counsel together and walked unto the house of God in company.

Psalms 55:15 Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.

Psalms 55:16 As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.

Psalms 55:17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.”

Also, in Psalms 56:3, it is written, “What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.”

Beloved, if you live long enough in this world, you will have a fearful time that will put you at your worst. But remember that it is all a valley of the shadow of death and Not death (Psalm 23:4).

As you are going in life, worst, take the lessons and refuse to be stopped in the pit of self-pity. Move on, and it shall be well with you in Jesus’ name. Amen.
