Marriage; A Counter Letter

Text: Esther 9:29-32

“Then Esther the queen, the daughter of Abihail, and Mordecai the Jew, wrote with all authority, to confirm this second letter of Purim. And he sent the letters unto all the Jews, to the hundred twenty and seven provinces of the kingdom of Ahasuerus, with words of peace and truth….”

Message

Is your marriage in unexplained trouble, challenged or under attacks? You caused and started it. You are the author! You asked why?

Firstly, it is because your marriage is a counter letter being executed upon the enemies of your peace and joy.

Secondly, it is because your marriage is great stories of how God delivers His people from the deadly plots of wicked people.

Thirdly, it is in your marriage that God’s glory is being made manifest.

Now, the Bible is replete with great stories of how God through the instrument of marriage delivered His people from the deadly plots of wicked people. One of such is what we see in our today’s passage. Another is yet in the marriage in Canaan of Galilee.

The change from water into wine at the marriage in Canaan demonstrates Jesus’ powers over all things down to the atomic level. Without the Creator’s authority, nothing can change. The purpose of this miracle was explained further in John 2:11: “This, the first of His signs, Jesus did at Canaan in Galilee and manifested His glory.

My Prayer for you is that; the Glory in your marriage and family shall manifest unhindered. God will cause eternal damage to any mountain put in place before, during and after your marriage.

In today’s text, Esther the queen had been given the authority to write counter letters to that evil decree of Haman. You too have written counter letter to bachelorhood and spinsterhood evils and it is permanent in Jesus Name.

The day the Jews were to be exterminated was turned to a day of peace and celebration. Your peace and celebration shall humiliate, disgrace and shame those incensed against your union.

Purim is a Jewish celebration where they send portions to one another to celebrate their deliverance from ethnic cleansing some hundreds of years ago. And that the feast is still being celebrated in modern Israel, proves to mockers of the Holy Bible that everything written were not cunningly devised fables; they are clear historical facts that could still be empirically verified.

In the book of Esther the evil decree of Haman lived after him, even after he was dead and buried.

God’s work is usually two-dimensional; there’s a man’s part and a God’s part. God’s part may be ninety-nine, but He expects man to play the one-percent part for the work to be complete. This is a principle in His work, including salvation, healing and deliverance. The Israelites in exile got Purim; signifying deliverance from Hamanic genocidal plot partly because they waited on God to help them and partly because God had promised they were not to be exterminated in a strange land.

God is always in the business of saving His people, whether during oppression or persecution. There is never going to be a cataclysm, a total destruction of God’s people at any time or in any age. That is because God is faithful and He also expects us to faithfully abide in Him. Your marriage and family shall faithfully abide in Christ Jesus all your life and beyond.

God had been the One faithfully delivering Israel from all her challenges. And He is ever at hand to deliver the redeemed in any generation. So shall God save, deliver, repair and restore you. Your past is redeemed and you will overtake those that started before you.

The remembrance of the day you married shall continually be the right choice of day to remember in your life, marriage and family.

Haman, cast lots (Pur), obviously through occultism,  as to the right day to destroy the Jews in the 127 provinces of the King, 3:7,12,13, and the day Satan gave him to destroy the Jews eventually turned to be the day the enemies of Jews were destroyed, 9:1,5,6. Your marriage day mark the destruction of delay or late marriage in your life, lineage and descendants in Jesus Name.

The power of thy Lord, turn any evil day ahead of you to a day of assured testimony in Jesus Name.

That day was special to the Jews not that it was the day their enemies were destroyed but the days the Jews were delivered totally from their enemies, vv11,12. So shall your marriage day be cause for eternal celebrations for you.

The 3 days involved were turned to annual days of celebration and named “Purim”. Why celebrating?

“It was the days the Jews rested from their enemies, which turned from sorrow to joy, and from mourning to a good day”, 9:22.

You are rested from your enemies, turned from sorrow to joy, and from mourning to a good day”.

Similarly for the New Testament saints, the day to regularly remember, reflect  and roll out praises to God is the day we receive rest and deliverance from our greatest enemy, sin. It is the day our sorrow for sin turned to joy as a result of forgiveness.

The day to remember is (are) the day(s) we experienced the supernatural touch of God. This is the celebration that is pure from carnality,  God centered and God pleasing.

You are today experiencing a definite deliverance from sin and forgiveness from God with joy of salvation.

Your marriage day is the day that you experienced spectacular miracle from God where two has become one, don’t forget it, don’t bury it, turn it to a day of testimony to the world to tell them they also can experience it only in Christ Jesus.

Your weeping has today turned to joy. Truly, “Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning” Psalm 30:5.

Cheer up, and your night in every other areas if life, marriage and family will give way to the morning as you keep on following the Lord, in Jesus Mighty Name.

St. Luke 3:4 says, “As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

St. Luke 3:5 Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth;

Ask God for assurance and the joy of salvation and promise God that you will value that(those) day(s) more than any other day in your life.

Pray and promise God that, in appreciation to Him, you will always testify of those days of divine visitation in your life to help others.

Pray that your life, marriage and family as well as the Church will not descend into carnality of loosing focus on the day to always remember.

Today shall be the day you will for good, joy, peace, favor, blessing and prosperity never forget in Jesus Name.

Amen..
