Many of us claim to be holier than the Pope. We set apart the “love others as yourself” injunction by loving others above ourselves. You talk that as agape love! Welldone, as that, is trying to die before your days.
2 Timothy 2:15-19, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
2 Timothy 2:17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
2 Timothy 2:18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”
Truly, education-learning is a great tool for life, and as a Christian, studying God’s word is the way to save one’s soul. it is the headquarters and engine room of wisdom, which is profitable to direct.
Life is a precious gift, and it is up to us to make the most of it. So stop living on autopilot, take charge of your life, and start living with intention. Only a fool says there is no God.
Remember, this one chance leave on earth is your life, and you only get one shot at it. Live it intentionally and relationally. And make it a life worth living. Remember that in most cases, life is the more you look, the less you see. That is why what we see from close look or afar may not be a complete or accurate representation of reality.
We should be careful not to idealize or envy others without considering the trade-offs or challenges that come with their holdings. For instance, you are praying to have money as your neighbour when he traded off long life. You want your husband to treat you as his friend treats his wife in public when the wife does not close her eye lids in the day and dying within!
We need to focus on our own strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, thanking God for blessings rather than comparing ourselves unfavourably to others.
My late father told me severally that no one born of a woman is in truth wearing trousers. He says that everyone out there is wearing wrappers. Asked why he said everyone is facing challenges different in quality and quantity tied under their wrappers, so much that no trousers would hold and if a trouser is used, they will be accused of having non-existing prostrate cancer!
Consequently, learn to appreciate and value your life progress and the positive actions, omissions, and intentions of others in helping you achieve in life. Even if these actions and omissions of others may not have achieved the desired results, it is important to acknowledge the good intention behind them and show respect.
Therefore, it is crucial to treat every of your little forward or upward moves and good gestures with respect and appreciation, and never insult or belittle someone or yourself for trying to do something positive.
I put on record the desperately wicked heart of men from my encounter, thought-provoking experience with someone. The person said to my face, “If not, God and your little efforts to help me!” I felt a sword driven through my heart by a person I severally tried in and out of season to the best of my knowledge and resources to help. Little wonder only the word of God can search through anything and every heart.
Also, Proverbs 25:19, “Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.”
Don’t be a fool or a construct misplaced Confidence in the time of trouble. Jesus love you. Accept him today. No temptation is worth the price you will pay for being unfaithful to him.
God help me.
