Are you circling the same peak?
Text: Deuteronomy 1:6
The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:

Drawing from Deuteronomy 1:6 wisdom, we see that it’s easy to get too comfortable in the wilderness and just keep circling the same peak! Why?
We too easily get too comfortable in the wilderness, On the most challenging days, we give ourself credit for showing up and surviving instead of living.
We sometimes do the wrong things for what feels like the right reasons, based on our experiences.
We are afraid of the unknown. We fear starting over, and conclude that as wasting another year!
We pretend to be happy in a life that no longer fits even when we have suffered or are suffering deeply, so become careful with other people or the doing of new things.
We care for the opinion, approval of others and dont want to hurt their feelings.
We have suffered before and became hardens towards doing everything to avoid a repeat.
But Deuteronomy 1:6 is your cue to pack up camp. You are to ask yourself, “What new “Promised Land” am I setting my sights on today?”
We must not be afraid of starting over, we rather are to fear wasting another year pretending to be happy in a life that no longer fits.
We should choose progress over perfection, movement over motion, and time over chance and keep moving forward, untill we reach our set goal.
We are to stop blaming others. We are in charge of our own happiness. We should choose joy, every time. Why?
Deuteronomy 1:7 “Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh thereunto, in the plain, in the hills, and in the vale, and in the south, and by the sea side, to the land of the Canaanites, and unto Lebanon, unto the great river, the river Euphrates.
Deuteronomy 1:8 Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them.”
