The Blessing Hidden in Weakness
Text: 2 Corinthians 12:9
But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Message:
If we had the choice, most of us would remove every weakness from our lives. We would choose strength over dependence, confidence over uncertainty, ability over limitation.
We spend much of our lives praying, “Lord, take this weakness away.” Yet God often answers with something unexpected. “My grace is sufficient for you.”
Paul understood this better than most.
Three times he pleaded with God to remove the thorn in his flesh.
Three times heaven answered, not with deliverance, but with grace.
Why do you think so?
Because God saw something Paul could not.
The very weakness Paul wanted removed had become the platform upon which God’s strength would be displayed.
What we call weakness…, God often calls an opportunity.
An opportunity to trust instead of relying on ourselves, an opportunity to pray instead of pretending we have all the answers, an opportunity for God’s power to receive the credit instead of our abilities.
If we never felt weak, we might never discover how strong God truly is.
Think about Moses.
He believed he couldn’t speak well enough.
Think about Gideon.
He believed he came from the weakest family.
Think about Jeremiah.
He thought he was too young.
Think about Peter.
He knew the pain of failure.
Think about Paul.
He carried a thorn he desperately wanted removed.
None of them were chosen because they were sufficient, they were chosen because they were willing to let God be.
Perhaps you’ve been disqualifying yourself because of what you lack.
“I’m not experienced enough. I’m not gifted enough. I’m not confident enough or
I’m not strong enough.” Maybe you’re right.
But the gospel has never been about what you are enough for, it has always been about what Christ is enough for.
God delights in using ordinary people so that extraordinary glory belongs to Him alone.
So stop hiding your weakness from God.
Bring it to Him.
Offer it to Him.
Depend on Him.
Your weakness is not evidence that God cannot use you, it may be the very place where He chooses to reveal Himself most clearly.
Prayer:
Father, 🙏
Thank You that You are not limited by my weaknesses.
Forgive me for believing that my inadequacies disqualify me from being used by You.
Teach me to depend on Your grace instead of my own strength.
When I feel weak, remind me that Your power is never diminished.
May my life point people not to my abilities, but to Your greatness.

St. Matthew 10:19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. St. Matthew 10:20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.
Loneliness because you belong to Jesus Christ is the price you pay to build yourself up, and the greatest thing you can build is yourself in Him, with you decreasing and Him increasing in your life that His glory in you may be made manifest.
Truth is, “The mind does not fear the truth first. It fears the life the truth will demand. That is why denial feels calm. It postpones a decision, not a consequence.” No wonder we get the wages of sin, which is death.
Believers should understand that sometimes our prayers are answered but the answer is No!
In other word, “You cannot think your way into becoming the person only your actions can introduce. When the storm beats the tree, many birds fly away—but the one that remains through the thunder is the one that truly calls it home.”
Is sin not attractive to you?
Sin keeps inviting you, “Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you’ll be able to see further, for you are a magnet for success and opportunities.”
Beloved, all that ends in this world. You will soon discovered, albeit too late that all that gilliters are not gold, and that vanity upon vanity, is a life lived without Jesus Christ.
Remember that one day you will wake up and do things for the last time without knowing it’s the last time. The sleep or that going out or coming in, eating, fighting, quarrelling etc will look normal, yet will be the last time! Nothing extra ordinary except that you would have said good night on the earthly side and find yourself woke up on the otherside of the terrestrial. There you have welcome to your eternity in heaven or hell, on the right or left side of Jesus who you obeyed or betrayed, condemned, rejected and ignored when you had the opportunity to accept on earth.
Unfortunately, you cannot and have not the luxury of a repeat journey! Then you will remember the saying that, “Most betrayals begin long before trust is broken. They begin the day curiosity ends. The moment someone believes they no longer need to understand you, they begin speaking to a memory instead of a person.”
