The voice of thy brother’s blood….

Text: (Genesis 4:10 ).

“And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground.”

Cain killed Abel his brother out of jealousy that his brothers sacrifice was more preferred. This should tell you that been a good person does not mean the world owes you kindness or exempt you from the great and the distinguished title of ‘RIP’ (Rest in peace), when your tenure on earth has expire. Unfortunately “RIP” is not “Return If Possible.”

Beloved, you better open your eyes and be daily reminded that you have just a life to live and cannot be negligent, careless or carefree with it. This explains while when a kid grows up, a pencil is replaced by a pen just to make the kid realize that now it is not easy to erase the mistake.

You will live with your mistakes, regretting the many irreversible or irreplaceable like Abraham did in taking Lot along on his journey to Canaan. So shine your inner eyes, seek divine direction, wise up in the fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of wisdom.

Reconcile with others and more importantly with Jesus your maker now, tomorrow may be too late.

If you die carelessly your blood may be like Abel cry for vengeance but Rest In Peace should and can never be equated to Return If Possible.

“The blood of your brother cries out” is a famous line from the Bible, specifically Genesis 4:10, where God confronts Cain after Cain murdered his brother Abel, indicating that innocent blood cries out for justice from the ground, leading to Cain’s curse and exile as a wanderer. The phrase signifies divine awareness and judgment for unjust killing, with the ground itself symbolizing the land bearing witness to the violent act.
