Present-Help in Trouble
Text: Philippians 4:4
“Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.”
Message
Did I just hear you say, “I heard the sound of the enemies gun?” Praise God for his blessing on you. Those who hear the sound of a gun are not dead but are alive. Hearing the sound is a testament that God is not just your place of refuge and strength but your present help in trouble. He serves you delicious meal in the presence of your enemy. A caveat, with your enemy as a watching guest!
Beloved, what you passed through was the shadow of death, not death. Those who actually passed through death have become permanent residents of the grave and are history.
Being a hero, you are to continue moving. God Almighty is on your side.
Apostle Paul wrote our key text while in the worst prison of his time awaiting execution for the sake of the gospel. Yet went further down in Philippians 4:6, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
In sum Paul is saying to us that we don’t give our problem the throne. He would rather we give our problem to the owner of the throne who is seated on the throne, far and above every principality and power. Alleluia.
