Message

From the story of King Saul in 1 Sam 15;16:1, we saw how people pleasing brought him down. That should be a great lesson to all. Sadly, we all appears to ignore the evils in people’s pleasing as we are also guilty of it.

The word of God and even our experience has left us with the short end stick result of people pleasing but we neglect to our damnation.

Some of the evils in people’s pleasing is;

1. If you live your life pleasing people , you will destroy yourself as King Saul did.

2. It is not God, the supreme commanders WILL that you will be doing, but other people’s WILL for your life. That certainly ends in disasters!

3.You will at best be doing the permissive WILL of God which will make God to be indifferent to your results and outcomes. Your strength, power and might will soon fail you!

4. Though there is difference between call and commission, you will mixed up the two and mess up yourself now or later.

5. If you live your life pleasing people, you will loss steam and since it’s not your divine mandate be sure you will invariably miss it.

6. You will leave the important for the urgent, pursuing shadows instead of the real object that matters in life.

7. You will displease God. And you will displease yourself as well. Sad enough it is impossible to ever task yourself enough to please any and every human being. That’s just man for you!

8. People pleasing will make you far away from God

The end result of people pleasing is that God has left you to yourself and the very people you were out pleasing will leave you in the cold to be are alone your shame and disgrace.

While the list of the consequences of people’s pleasing is endless, truth is if you want to be number among the top, keep your eye on your God’s given mandate. Constantly imagine and dream it. Let men continue saying what they like. What matters is if God is pleased with you, your attendant end results and testimonies.

Also, people are difficult to please because we are naturally rebellious and wicked . So bear in mind that if you have a destiny , people will not be pleased with you. But yet the message must and ought to remain, “It is my destiny”.

Jealously guide your destiny, children of the world surely abuse you out of envy, hatred and bitterness, but keep doing it God’s way. In the end the same people will be jealous of your results. Life is an individual race. So stick to answer your name and not that of another person. To do otherwise is to be a photocopy instead of the original that God made you.

Remember that if things must end well for us, we must love God. How do we show it by our obedience to Him. Always ask yourself two vital questions and answer both when you are in doubt.

One, if Jesus is in my position what will He do?

Two if Jesus is beside me now would he be please with what I am doing?

If in both, Jesus will say well done , then do it for you can’t be right with God and still be killing yourself.

Remember that any job that will not promote God will fail (Jeremiah 29:11). So, don’t let anybody kill your dream. Always ask yourself do I love God?

When God speak to you on an issue, he will not speak to you over another one until you get the earlier correct in His way.

The top is vacant, to get there, don’t be people pleasing. Rather follow divine dictates and direction.

You will finish well.

You are taking over the world as you determine not to please people, but God in Jesus Mighty Name.

Amen.
