“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Message

Three different passages in the Bible specially keeps me in very refreshing posture with Jesus unparalleled love for me, a sinner.

One is John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” It indicates God’s encompassing love for redeeming me from destruction and in place giving me everlasting life which are mine by my confession!

Another is ” while we were yet sinners Christ died for us “. Romans 5:8-10 (KJV), “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.”

I mean look at what Paul says; Christ died for us while we were still sinners, which is to say that Christ didn’t die for perfect and put together (as if there are such people), He died for the weak, the wicked, the broken, the rebellious, the ungodly, and the enemies of His Kingdom.

Who will give his life to a failure when failure is an orphan and a walk on a lonely road?

Christ treated my failure as a journey than a destination. He treated my error as a route to success if I can access him. No wonder He said come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden.

Another is, that Christ died for the very us “who have declared ourselves an enemy of His Cross” (Philippians 3:17-21). For maximum effect Paul said “whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their (our) end is destruction! But in grace and nevertheless Christ Jesus died for us.

No sane man in flesh will want to die for his sworn enemy. We will rather pray or help them to death but Jesus was none of that. He died for me and you and as many that will accept the final substitutionary nature of His death on the cross.

As if not done only Christ will do what John 1:12-13 says for a repentant felons:

“John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:

John 1:13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

Rather for Jesus to make me his eternal enemy he treated my failure as a message to me that I  have employed a wrong method. Therefore, all I need do is look at my hopeless and reckless life again and will like the prodigal son which I am, see my error and come out from darkness to light. Most importantly am not to rely on my power, might or strength. I’m not to run the race at a price paid by me or on the hold of my frail legs but Him and His!

Think of the reward for my acceptance of Christ as my Lord, Master and personal Saviour. I will be with him in eternity. No success can be compared to this and no place is better than his right hand, seating and supping on same table with my Lord.

Come to think of it. The world pays hugely for success. The price the world pays for success is priceless and tantalizing. Yet none of it’s pays or of earthly success can be compared with being the Son of God, coheir with Christ.

Christ Jesus refused that I remain a failed orphan. He refused I stay put on a lonely but broad road to hell where I should not expect any ovation if I ignore his call to SONSHIP.

Beloved, don’t choose to give up where you failed.

Be wise, hearing to His call today and you be glad you did. Eternity matters. Where you will spend eternity and with who should concern you as it is given unto man to die only once after that, is judgment.

There is no repentance in the grave. As the Warrian’s will say, “One day Baboon go go market and no go return”. Don’t die in sin or you be like a stubborn fly which goes into the grave with the corpse. Sin is only sweet but make mouth sour and at the end on edge.

Take a stand for Christ Jesus now and you will be glad you did. Arise and walk with Jesus. Take his offer of unlimited life now.

God bless you as you do.

You will succeed earlier than you expected.

Amen.
