Message
In 1 Chronicles 12:23-40, we have a listing of different tribes of Israel who were ready to turn the kingdom from Saul to David.
They were individual experts in their own right. The children of Issachar understood the times and what Israel ought to do. Those of Zebulun and Dan were experts in war. The descendants of Naphtali were expert in handling shields and spears. This is where their individuality started and ended, taken over by the sense of what is in God’s plan and their collective interest.
While retaining their individuality they had a common goal, purpose and mission for common good.
What was it,?
That David be enthroned as King of Israel.
To see their wish through they were men of war, that could keep rank, with a perfect heart and were of one heart to make David accomplish God’s plan for him to be King over Israel.
In their thousands, they came to make David king and were neither mischievous nor crafty about their mission. It is quite interesting that they were with David for three days, eating and drinking together. I believe that no one called anything his own to the exclusion of others! It was a joint ticket; all for David to the Glory of God.
The thousands of people defy the odds to support David who perhaps have lost hope in life, thinking that God has abandoned him. But here he is with thousands of people from different tribes of Israel willingly coming to make him king.
Was David destiny helpers just in it like that?
The answer is no. David lifted God up, remaining in His will and the eternal and faithful God that owes nobody and a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him cannot but draw men to himself to accomplish his purpose and plan for David.
Truth is, no matter the time, weather and circumstances God can draw people from any corner of the earth to come to your aid, as long as you are within the circle of His will.
Pray that God sends such help your way to enable you accomplish His purpose from this day onward.
Bear in mind that while God can use anybody to help somebody, the person must to avoid disappointment, take people exactly as they are instead of idealizing who they wish they would be.
May God send you your destiny helpers in Jesus Mighty Name.
Amen.
