LIVING UNDER THE POWER OF THE BLOOD: THE CONTINUAL COVERING OF REDEMPTION<\/em><\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Text: Hebrews 9:11\u201314 <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands\u2026 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. For if the blood of bulls and goats\u2026 sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ\u2026 cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MESSAGE<\/em>
One of the deepest truths in the Christian faith is that redemption is not only anchored in the death of Christ but also in the power of His blood. The blood of Jesus is not symbolic language; it represents divine life poured out for the salvation and preservation of mankind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hebrews 9:12 declares that Christ entered the Most Holy Place \u201cnot with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood\u2026 having obtained eternal redemption.\u201d This is not temporary cleansing. It is eternal redemption\u2014complete, irreversible, and permanent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the Old Covenant, sacrifices had to be repeated continually because they could never fully remove sin. But Christ\u2019s sacrifice is different. It is once and for all. The blood He shed is not an annual reminder of sin; it is an eternal seal of victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hebrews 9:14 further reveals the depth of this work: \u201chow much more shall the blood of Christ\u2026 cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?\u201d The blood does not only deal with outward guilt; it transforms the inner conscience.
Many believers struggle not because they are not forgiven, but because they have not fully embraced the cleansing of the conscience. A guilty conscience weakens prayer, limits boldness, and creates spiritual hesitation. But the blood of Jesus restores confidence before God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 John 1:7 (NKJV) says: \u201cBut if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.\u201d Notice the present continuous nature: \u201ccleanses.\u201d This means the effect of the blood is not only historical but ongoing in its application. The finished work of Christ continues to speak over the believer\u2019s life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This truth is reinforced in Revelation 12:11 (NKJV): \u201cAnd they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony\u2026\u201d Victory over the enemy is directly connected to the blood of Christ. The believer does not overcome by emotional strength or intellectual argument but by covenant authority established through the blood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To understand this more deeply, we must look back at Exodus 12, where the Israelites were instructed to apply the blood of the lamb on their doorposts. God said, \u201cWhen I see the blood, I will pass over you\u201d (Exodus 12:13, NKJV). The blood was not a decoration; it was protection. It marked the boundary between judgment and safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the same way, the blood of Jesus marks the believer as untouchable by condemnation. It is not that challenges will not arise, but that the final verdict of destruction is removed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many believers, however, live as though the blood is only for initial salvation. But Scripture reveals that the blood is also for daily living. It speaks continually on behalf of the believer. Hebrews 12:24 (NKJV) says Jesus is \u201cthe Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.\u201d While Abel\u2019s blood cried out for justice, Christ\u2019s blood speaks mercy, forgiveness, and restoration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This means that every accusation of the enemy is answered by the voice of the blood. Every spiritual opposition is countered by a superior covenant.
However, to walk in this reality, believers must develop consciousness of the blood. This is not superstition; it is covenant awareness. Just as citizens of a nation carry identity that grants them rights and protection, believers carry the identity of Christ\u2019s blood covenant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A powerful example is found in the story of the Passover. The Israelites were not spared because they were stronger, wiser, or more righteous than Egypt. They were spared because of the blood applied over their homes. The difference between preservation and judgment was not effort but covering. In the same way, the believer\u2019s confidence is not in personal perfection but in Christ\u2019s perfection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The blood also purifies service. Hebrews 9:14 says it cleanses \u201cfrom dead works to serve the living God.\u201d Dead works are not only sinful actions; they include religious activity done without revelation of grace. The blood delivers the believer from striving and brings them into Spirit-led service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many struggles in Christian life come from trying to serve God without resting in what Christ has done. But true service flows from cleansing, not pressure. Romans 5:9 (NKJV) confirms this truth: \u201cMuch more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Justification by blood means the believer stands before God as though never guilty. This is the foundation of bold prayer, confident worship, and fearless living.
When the enemy accuses, the believer does not argue from personal merit but from covenant blood. When fear rises, the believer does not depend on emotion but on what the blood has already secured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore, living under the power of the blood is not occasional remembrance; it is daily consciousness. It is waking up each day aware that you are covered, cleansed, justified, and preserved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The believer who understands this truth walks differently. They do not live defensively; they live confidently. They do not approach God hesitantly; they come boldly. They do not fear condemnation; they walk in assurance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The blood of Jesus is not weak, symbolic, or outdated. It is living, speaking, and powerful. And every believer is called to live under its covering daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      St. Matthew 10:19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. St. Matthew 10:20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Loneliness because you belong to Jesus Christ is the price you pay to build yourself up, and the greatest thing you can build is yourself in Him, with you decreasing and Him increasing in your life that His glory in you may be made manifest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Truth is, “The mind does not fear the truth first. It fears the life the truth will demand. That is why denial feels calm. It postpones a decision, not a consequence.” No wonder we get the wages of sin, which is death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Believers should understand that sometimes our prayers are answered but the answer is No!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      In other word, “You cannot think your way into becoming the person only your actions can introduce. When the storm beats the tree, many birds fly away\u2014but the one that remains through the thunder is the one that truly calls it home.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Is sin not attractive to you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Sin keeps inviting you, “Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you\u2019ll be able to see further, for you are a magnet for success and opportunities.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Beloved, all that ends in this world. You will soon discovered, albeit too late that all that gilliters are not gold, and that vanity upon vanity, is a life lived without Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Remember that one day you will wake up and do things for the last time without knowing it\u2019s the last time. The sleep or that going out or coming in, eating, fighting, quarrelling etc will look normal, yet will be the last time! Nothing extra ordinary except that you would have said good night on the earthly side and find yourself woke up on the otherside of the terrestrial. There you have welcome to your eternity in heaven or hell, on the right or left side of Jesus who you obeyed or betrayed, condemned, rejected and ignored when you had the opportunity to accept on earth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Unfortunately, you cannot and have not the luxury of a repeat journey! Then you will remember the saying that, “Most betrayals begin long before trust is broken. They begin the day curiosity ends. The moment someone believes they no longer need to understand you, they begin speaking to a memory instead of a person.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Accept and follow Jesus now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
