REDEEMED FROM EVERY CURSE: THE POWER OF CHRIST\u2019S REDEMPTION<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Text: Galatians 3:13\u201314<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cChrist has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, \u2018Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree\u2019), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MESSAG<\/em>E<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Redemption is one of the most powerful truths in Scripture, yet many believers still live as though they are partially redeemed. The gospel does not present a limited salvation; it presents a complete rescue from every dimension of the curse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Galatians 3:13 begins with a declaration, not a suggestion: \u201cChrist has redeemed us from the curse of the law.\u201d The tense is important. It is not \u201cChrist is redeeming\u201d or \u201cChrist will redeem,\u201d but \u201cChrist has redeemed.\u201d This is a completed action.
To redeem means to purchase out of captivity by paying a full price. Humanity was not simply influenced by sin; it was under a legal curse introduced through disobedience. But Jesus stepped into our place and bore the full weight of that curse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Scripture explains the mechanism: \u201chaving become a curse for us.\u201d This is substitution. Jesus did not merely sympathize with humanity\u2019s condition; He took our position. The cross is therefore not only an expression of love but also a legal exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deuteronomy 21:23 (NKJV) says: \u201cHe who is hanged is accursed of God.\u201d Paul uses this Old Testament principle to show that Jesus willingly took upon Himself the curse that was legally upon humanity. Every expression of curse – spiritual, physical, emotional, generational\u2014was absorbed at Calvary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This means the believer\u2019s identity is no longer defined by ancestral patterns, limitations, or recurring cycles of bondage. Christ has broken the legal foundation that sustains the curse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of this redemption is clearly stated: \u201cthat the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus.\u201d This reveals a divine exchange. What was once a life of curse has now become a life of blessing through Christ.
To understand this, we must revisit Abraham\u2019s blessing. Genesis 12:2\u20133 (NKJV) says: \u201cI will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing\u2026 and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The blessing of Abraham includes divine favor, preservation, multiplication, and covenant identity with God. Through Christ, this blessing is now extended to all who believe. This truth is reinforced in 2 Corinthians 8:9 (NKJV): \u201cFor you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Redemption is not only removal of curses; it is the introduction of a new life system. The believer is transferred from the domain of curse into the realm of blessing.
However, many believers still live under the influence of what has already been broken. This happens when experience is trusted more than Scripture. But spiritual reality is not defined by experience; it is defined by Christ\u2019s finished work. Colossians 1:13 (NKJV) confirms this transition: \u201cHe has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This means the believer has already changed kingdoms. A person cannot legally belong to two kingdoms at the same time. One may still feel old patterns, but authority has changed. A powerful illustration is seen in the story of Israel\u2019s deliverance from Egypt (Exodus 12). The moment the blood was applied to the doorposts, judgment passed over. Yet many Israelites still had to physically walk out of Egypt the next day. Legally, they were free the moment the blood was applied; experientially, they had to step into what was already established.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the same way, redemption is both legal and experiential. Christ has already broken the curse, but believers must walk in the reality of that freedom by faith.
One of the most damaging misunderstandings in the body of Christ is the belief that suffering or limitation is always a sign of divine intention. While trials exist in the Christian journey, the cross has permanently altered the believer\u2019s position. We are no longer under a curse-based system but a blessing-based covenant. Romans 8:1 (NKJV) declares: \u201cThere is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.\u201d Condemnation is the voice of the curse. It reminds the believer of failure, limitation, and unworthiness. But redemption silences that voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A redeemed believer must learn to speak differently, think differently, and respond differently. Instead of identifying with defeat, they identify with Christ\u2019s victory. Instead of accepting limitation, they declare covenant blessing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The blessing of the Lord is not only spiritual; it affects every area of life\u2014family, health, work, direction, and destiny. Proverbs 10:22 (NKJV) says: \u201cThe blessing of the LORD makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.\u201d This does not mean absence of challenges, but it means divine backing in every situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore, the believer must begin to interpret life from a redeemed position. You are not trying to escape a curse; you are living in the reality that it has already been broken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every prayer, every declaration, and every act of faith must flow from this understanding: Christ has redeemed me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      St. Matthew 10:19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. St. Matthew 10:20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Loneliness because you belong to Jesus Christ is the price you pay to build yourself up, and the greatest thing you can build is yourself in Him, with you decreasing and Him increasing in your life that His glory in you may be made manifest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Truth is, “The mind does not fear the truth first. It fears the life the truth will demand. That is why denial feels calm. It postpones a decision, not a consequence.” No wonder we get the wages of sin, which is death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Believers should understand that sometimes our prayers are answered but the answer is No!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      In other word, “You cannot think your way into becoming the person only your actions can introduce. When the storm beats the tree, many birds fly away\u2014but the one that remains through the thunder is the one that truly calls it home.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Is sin not attractive to you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Sin keeps inviting you, “Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you\u2019ll be able to see further, for you are a magnet for success and opportunities.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Beloved, all that ends in this world. You will soon discovered, albeit too late that all that gilliters are not gold, and that vanity upon vanity, is a life lived without Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Remember that one day you will wake up and do things for the last time without knowing it\u2019s the last time. The sleep or that going out or coming in, eating, fighting, quarrelling etc will look normal, yet will be the last time! Nothing extra ordinary except that you would have said good night on the earthly side and find yourself woke up on the otherside of the terrestrial. There you have welcome to your eternity in heaven or hell, on the right or left side of Jesus who you obeyed or betrayed, condemned, rejected and ignored when you had the opportunity to accept on earth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Unfortunately, you cannot and have not the luxury of a repeat journey! Then you will remember the saying that, “Most betrayals begin long before trust is broken. They begin the day curiosity ends. The moment someone believes they no longer need to understand you, they begin speaking to a memory instead of a person.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Accept and follow Jesus now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
