But many of us has our demons with dual identity residen with us in forms of many hidden sins, in particular in sins against self, and therefore fleshy.

In a theological and philosophical context, a “sin against self” refers to actions that damage your own physical, mental, or spiritual well-being. While most sins are considered external, major spiritual traditions—particularly Christianity—identify specific behaviors that are uniquely self-destructive and degrade the individual.

In 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, the apostle Paul explicitly states that while most other sins are external, anyone who commits sexual immorality “sins against their own body”. Your side chick, sugar daddy, fornication and adultery is indicative of your involvement in those vices. Quit them now.

1 Corinthians 6:18-20, notes that the believer’s body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and has spiritual and physical Bond, possession and ownership of it. You dont own your body. You cannot give what you dont have. Thus engaging in sexual sin outside of God’s design creates a profound “oneness” that can fracture a person’s emotional, mental, and physical well-being.

Aside sexual immorality, spiritual leaders and counselors extend the concept of sinning against self to include any habitual behaviours that undermine your soul, mind, or physical health. Such destructive habits includes engaging in homosexual, Lesbianism, substance abuse, severe gluttony, smoking and taking of alcohol, insatiable desire for sex, sleep, other pleasures including sleep and rest, or extreme self-harm that degrades your physical vessel.

Harboring toxic patterns of unforgiveness, envy, bitterness, or self-hatred that mentally tear a person apart as
Internalizing shame and sense of guilt destroys the flesh.

Some philosophical interpretations argue that failing to live out your God-given purpose or denying your natural talents is both a waste of potential and a sin against self”.

The problems with all these habits, behaviours, practices and emotional warfare is that it can be as hidden as was the Prince of Persia was in wasting Daniels resources and rewards in prayer, and we should avoid them all and many more, by searching ourselves, repenting from them with a contrived heart, and never going back to them that we may be full restore and overflowing in God’s blessings.

[6

post-5017","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-devotion
["GET
