We will pray we want heaven’s response to be prompt-a press of a button. And if it is not, we grow weary and downcast. We call, blame, and accuse ourselves and others, including God, for what is not truth. I am so guilty doing this, which I have no word basis doing.

Glory be to God for I have today found a scripture, more revealed to me that answered my worries and anxiety over my prayer life, sense of guilt and responsibility, in not doing enough to step up God’s hands of favour and mercy to my direction and case. Now I know better. God works in ways that are beyond my wisdom. The waiting or what I call delay is God sure footing me to stand for greatness that is wonderful wonders in greatness.

“And the hand of the LORD was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel” (1 Kings 18:46).

After the victory over the prophets of Baal, Prophet Elijah prayed for rain as the nation was suffering from drought. Despite declaring a heavy downpour, there was initially no sign of rain.

Elijah persisted in prayer, sending his servant seven times to check for any sign of clouds. Seven times not once. I believe that he repeated some words not because he has no faith but to press his prayer point for good measure returns.

Finally, the servant reported seeing a small cloud like the size of a man’s hand. This was the signal Elijah had been waiting for. Immediately, he sent his servant to King Ahab to announce the impending rain and instruct him to depart.

The story in 1 Kings 18:41-46 highlights Elijah’s faith and perseverance in prayer, as well as God’s faithfulness in answering his prayers.

It also serves as a reminder of the importance of trusting in God’s timing and continuing to seek Him diligently in times of need – no parking, no retreat, resignation, or retirement.

Dont negotiate for little. Go for the kill. No measure. You will pursue, overtake, and recover all without fail. Your enemies and all that are theirs shall be your spoils of war if you dont give up. Remember that go slow and hold up are not end to a journey, Keep pressing on.

Soon enough, the sky became dark and heavy with clouds, strong winds followed, and then came a heavy downpour. Have at the back of your mind that having dark and heavy clouds with or without strong winds alone does not translate to rain. It will rain only when the giver of rain shakes or moves in his power.

Empowered by the Lord, Elijah dressed up quickly and ran so fast that he got to Jezreel ahead of Ahab, who was riding a chariot. That should tell you that you will overtake those who started before you, and your testimonies will dwarf theirs as too small and a stale tale.

Many historians say the distance from Mount Carmel to Jezreel was at least sixteen miles, Elijah covered that distance in a flash to press on Ahab the need to repent and turn from his sins before returning to his home, where the diabolical influence of his wife, Jezebel, was flourishing.

How we ought to become fleet-footed in the course of the gospel, and in life battles to run faster than the speed at which the wheel of modern culture is rolling, to outpace the spread of false doctrine, and the evolution of modern-day godless practices and wickedness.

The command of the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers is “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” It leaves no room for lethargy, luke warmness, coldness, or indifference. There is only one rule: rise and go.

For those that love God and are called according to his purpose in Christ Jesus, all things work together for their good. Their struggle is not their final chapter, letter, or full stop It’s the interim holding ground for shaping them into their best in greatness. The pain, delay, and every test are only preparation for a stronger, brighter, and best version of arrival testimonies.

Beloved, keep pressing on. Your story is turning out in good., a best for you in all.

You will surprise yourself by the magnitude of the feat you accomplished when you least expect it because God is with you.

It might be in times of danger or when great responsibilities are suddenly thrust on you. Your actions will become defining moments whose impacts extend far beyond the immediate.

In spiritual terms, these are usually a once-in\u0002a-lifetime experiences for you to have a memorial of God’s goodness, mercy, favour, presence, and faithfulness.

Michael Johnson, the former Olympic sprinter viewed life as requiring sustained effort (“long stretches of hard work”) followed by intense, high-impact moments (“brief moments in which we are given the opportunity to perform at our best”).

Gary Ryan Blair, in his blog post, “Life is a Sprint, Not a Marathon,” suggests a different approach to high-performance, emphasizing focusing on rapid, impactful actions rather than slow, continuous progress.

Steve Backley, more concise take on the idea comes from “The sprint is like life… blink, and you miss it. “

Ultimately, the idea of life as a sprint suggests a focus on decisive action and the ability to execute powerfully when the moment arises, contrasting with the patience and endurance of a marathoner.

God has not finished with you, Wrestle like Jacob, and your Israel will ultimately prevail, blossom, and reign over your adversaries.
