God Will Lead the Way<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Text: Psalms 32:8<\/p>\n\n\n\n “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Moses led the people of Israel for forty years. He led them out of slavery in Egypt, through the Red Sea, gave them the Ten Commandments from his time on Mount Sinai, and walked with them through the wilderness until they reached the edge of Canaan.<\/p>\n But as he neared the end of his life, God showed Moses that it was time to hand off leadership to another. In a final address to the people of Israel, he shares these final words with his successor, Joshua:<\/p>\n \u201cThe LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.\u201d<\/p>\n Deuteronomy 31:8 NIV<\/p>\n This is the last record we have of Moses talking to Joshua. Notice he didn\u2019t say, \u201cGood luck, these people are exhausting,\u201d or, \u201cHere\u2019s a situation going on, I would handle it this way.\u201d Moses wasn\u2019t telling Joshua how to do something, but instead, how to see everything.<\/p>\n Moses drew Joshua\u2019s attention to the most important person in the story: God.<\/p>\n Moses had been a crucial leader, but it was only because of God that Israel could move forward. It was only because of God that they made it this far. And because God is the author of the story, His provision would continue after Moses is gone.<\/p>\n Because God was with Israel, Joshua didn\u2019t need to fear anything. And when God is with you, there is nothing to fear except self and friends, including members of your house.<\/p>\n Beloved, God will lead the way, but you need to be careful. For example, your personal testimony, though good in encouraging others and in Evangelism, must not be allowed to bring you envy or unanticipated troubles.<\/p>\n Also, beware of friends. The person likely to betray you is not far away from you. It is the saying of our elders, “For a snake to bite you, it must be very close to you.”<\/p>\n Beware of those clapping for you. They will soon return to their home where you will not be, and there they will naked you.<\/p>\n “A man’s enemies will be the members of his own household\u201d is a Bible verse from Matthew 10:36. So, humble yourselff before Life humbles You.<\/p>\n Proverbs 29:23, “A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.”<\/p>\n According to the great Nelson Mandela, “To be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.”<\/p>\n This quote reminds us that true freedom is not just about individual liberation but also about creating a world where everyone can live with dignity and respect. By respecting and enhancing the freedom of others, we can build a more just, equitable, and compassionate society.”<\/p>\n May we not be indifferent to the leadings of God and the Holy Spirit he has endowed us with.
