Come, See, Go, Tell <\/p>\n\n\n\n Text: Romans 10:17<\/p>\n\n\n\n “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n What we hear affects what we know. What we know influences what we believe. What we believe impacts what we do. That\u2019s why it is so important to listen to God\u2019s truth.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cSo faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.\u201d (Romans 10:17) NLT<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Throughout the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), we see Jesus inviting His followers to \u201ccome and see,\u201d to \u201cgo and tell,\u201d and to \u201clisten and understand.\u201d<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Paul explains why \u201cgoing and telling\u201d matters in his letter to the Romans:<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cFor \u2018Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.\u2019 But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, \u2018How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Romans 10:13-15 NLT<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n So what is this \u201cGood News\u201d?<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n To truly understand it, let\u2019s first look at the bad news: we\u2019ve all messed up. Our sin separates us from a good and holy God, and there\u2019s nothing we can do to bridge that gap.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Now, the good news: God loves us so much that He has already made a way for us. He put on skin, paid the ultimate price by dying a criminal\u2019s death (even though He was innocent), and has conquered the grave by rising again. He has granted us the right to become His!<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n This is why \u201ceveryone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.\u201d<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n So right now, take a moment and thank God for the gift of His Word, and the ability to receive His Good News.
