What Is Peace?<\/h2>\n

Text: John 14:26\u201327<\/span><\/p>\n

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Message<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Peace is a state of inner tranquillity, harmony, and freedom from violence and fear. Peace also refers to a sense of security and order within self and among persons, members of a community or group of communities, or a period of mutual agreement to cease fire and seek each other’s well being between or among governments or nations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Peace is freedom from disturbance; It is a state or period in which there is no war or a war has ended. This is why the wise say, “Every war is an invitation to peace.” It is a stress-free state of security and calmness that comes when there’s no fighting or war, everything coexisting in perfect harmony and freedom.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In our war-torn world, where humans continue to reject and fight the Prince of Peace, it seems like there’s not nearly enough peace or ever will be peace. The peace of this world can be perfect or imperfect, but only the peace of God is perfect. God gives his peace not as the world gives.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Galtung, Johan, peace can be psychological or behavioural. The erudite author wrote, “Psychological peace” (such as peaceful thinking and emotions) is less well-defined, yet perhaps a necessary precursor to establishing “behavioural peace.” He went on, “Peaceful behaviour sometimes results from a “peaceful inner disposition.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He added, “It has been argued by some that inner qualities such as tranquility, patience, respect, compassion, kindness, self-control, courage, moderation, forgiveness, equanimity, and the ability to see the big picture can promote peace within an individual, regardless of the external circumstances of their life <\/span>(Galtung, Johan (31 July 1996). <\/span><\/i>Peace by Peaceful Means: Peace and Conflict, Development and Civilization (1st ed.). Jesus did not leave us comfortless or in a perpetual state of war. \u201cPeace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid\u201d (John 14:26\u201327).<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Conclusion<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The choice is yours to take and have all your life his peace, which is forever perfect, surpassing human thoughts, unspeakable, unshakeable….or fail, neglect or refuse it.<\/span><\/p>\n

I pray that my head will not reject salvation, deliverance, repairs, reparation and restoration that flows from God and is affordable and available to me and my family in the name of Jesus. <\/span>Amen.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
